Level 1 – Level 1 is an introduction to searching for recreation or competition, this is done after assessing what is your dog’s primary motivation as this is what we will use to gain your dog’s desire to search and find for fun and reward.

This course runs for 5 weeks and we teach you to teach your dog to search and also how to motivate your dog in a very dog rewarding rich environment.

Level 2 – After level 1 is completed, you can then access our level 2 course.  This is where it starts to get more like the detection dogs you may have seen on television. This is where your dog will learn to look for a particular odour target and realise when I find this odour, I will gain great & fun rewards. This is where the fun meets challenge and challenge is designed to ensure growth of ability and high probability of great reward.  This course runs for 4 weeks 

 

Level 3 – This is our open level and this is where you and your dog are on a constant path of discovery. As you both grow the challenges & possibilities are endless and it does not matter if you want to compete or just do it for fun or enrichment. We will have new and exciting things for you to encounter. This is a recognised dog sport should you get the bug to test yourself and your dog against others or we will also have our own inter group fun competitions you can be part of. This is our open course, meaning that you have completed the previous 2 course levels and now have an understanding to be able to attend our open course.  

 

This course runs in 4 week blocks and after you complete the initial 4 week course, when you wish to attend the next month’s sessions you just click this option again. Please note that just because it’s the highest level does not mean you learn the same thing every time you attend.

Each course the trainer will be monitoring your learning ensuring to develop both you and your dog to ensure you have continuous improvement.
